Gipsy Hill
They say a culture reflects its’ weather but what about its’ hills?
The flat feels universal
while a hill is always local,
often the hills we call our home.
The mountains are undeniable – but our hills
are almost human, their dramas are their own.
Yes, we will all miss the mountains.
But it’s just us
who love this hill,
Land softly rising,
strangely alone.
